Welcome to Seeds of Hope Community Ministries, Inc. We are a non-denominational religious organization which has been serving the Lafayette and Tippecanoe County community since 1996. We began by opening a food pantry and clothes closet to serve those in need of emergency food and clothing. Next, Seeds of Hope was instrumental in the construction of the homeless shelter--the Seeds of Hope Day Shelter in downtown Lafayette. We continued assisting those with mental illness to make the most of their lives. In 2008 we acquired our first church, Hope Chapel, where we began offering Sunday services. In addition, we started an addiction recovery program which helps participants move forward with their lives. A second church was acquired in 2010, Hope Cathedral, on South 7th Street. In addition to Sunday services, we are offering a child care ministry to care for children from newborns to age 6. We have begun providing programs to transition persons exiting prison and returning to society. And we have begun programs to reunite parents with their children while offering help and guidance from life-skill facilitators and counselors. Our community outreach programs and youth initiatives are designed to help those in need. We do not require that you belong to any particular religious affiliation or financially support our organization in any way. We do ask that you return one good deed with another and perform an act of kindness. This way, the cycle of compassion and goodwill continues indefinitely.
